Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues.
During this 8-hour course, you will learn:
Risk factors and warning signs of mental health concerns.
Information on depression, anxiety, trauma, psychosis, and addiction disorders.
A 5-step action plan to help someone developing a mental health concern or in crisis.
Where to turn for help — professional, peer, and self-help resources.
This class is in-person and registration is $20. This course is available to Clay, Platte, and Ray County residents at no cost. Email adultmhfa@beaconmh.org for promo code.
There will be 2 hours of individual pre-work prior to class and participants will receive a virtual manual. Registration is open now until January 15th, 2024.
