Tri-County Mental Health has been a proud recipient of United Way support for years, but this year is special!

First, we have been recognized as one of United Way’s Impact 100. The United Way has examined the many nonprofit agencies in our community and chose 100 as particularly impactful in their work. Tri-County was chosen as one of those 100, and we are grateful for the recognition.

Even more importantly, though, United Way has decided to change the way that people can designate gifts to support their favorite nonprofits. In the past, the United Way discouraged nonprofits from asking individuals to designate gifts, and they levied an administrative fee on those gifts. They have changed their policies now, and 100 percent of the United Way gifts you direct to Tri-County will be given to Tri-County, with no administrative fee!

United Way has always been a great system to support nonprofits through easy payroll deductions for many of Kansas City’s employers. Now it is even better, and we encourage you to participate in the upcoming United Way campaign, and direct your gifts to Tri-County, where we will use it to help people in our own community.
