This November, members of our Prevention Team attended the Missouri State Substance Use Prevention Conference in Columbia. Our own Vicky Ward, Manager of Prevention and Wellness Services, was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award for her years of dedication, outstanding service, and commitment to the field of prevention. It was very well-deserved and quite impressive that the state recognized Vicky among so many people who have been guided, mentored, and encouraged by her leadership in the field! Congratulations, Vicky.
Needless to say, Tri-County’s staff and programs were a hit at the conference. Our staff provided two workshops that were very well-attended and received rave reviews. Emily Barnes presented at the statewide Keeping Missouri Kids Safe meeting. And our team was proud to bring a dedicated group of 45 Clay, Platte, and Ray coalition members to learn and connect at the conference. Thanks to everyone who attended, and kudos to our Prevention Team for a job well done!
