Get to know Brittany Semsch, our Senior Manager of School Based Services!
How long have you worked at Tri-County? Three and a half years.
What do you like to do in your free time? Much of my free time these days is filled chasing my energetic, 16 month old daughter, Mia, around! It’s so fun to see the world through her eyes at this stage and soaking up all the “firsts.” We love exploring our backyard, going on walks at English Landing Park, finding new hiking trails, swimming, camping at Stockton Lake, and finding whatever animal will let us pet them.
What’s your favorite Kansas City hangout or activity? Does eating barbecue count as an activity? Because I don’t think you can be a true Kansas Citian without enjoying some good barbecue. My husband, Jon, is on a competition barbecue team and participates in events like the American Royal each year. There is a lot of barbecuing going on in our house and I can’t say I mind being the taste tester.
Do you have a favorite book or movie and why? The Sandlot is one of my favorite movies just because of the nostalgia. My brother and I probably watched it a thousand times growing up so it always reminds me of childhood summers.
