Hope Squad is a peer-to-peer suicide prevention program serving 3rd-12th grade throughout the entire North Kansas City school district (32 schools!) and three elementary schools in the Smithville school district.

Hope Squad members are nominated by their classmates as trustworthy peers and trained by advisors. The program reduces youth suicide through education, training, and peer intervention. A key requirement for Hope Squad schools is to have a partnership with a behavioral health or mental wellness facility. Tri-County provides that partnership for these schools.
