We are thrilled to announce that Tri-County Mental Health Services was chosen to be July’s Shut Out the Stigma recipient from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City & Royals Charities! This program highlights the importance of being vocal about mental health, discourages putting too much pressure on young athletes, and works to end the stigma against asking for mental health support when you need it. It’s an incredible initiative that gives back to mental and behavioral health resources right here in our community.
How does it work? For every inning that a Royals pitcher records a shutout, Blue KC donates $30 to the monthly recipient. Tri-County was fortunate to receive a $4,290 donation for July’s Shut Out the Stigma program! Thank you to everyone who cheered on our Kansas City Royals, and thank you to the players who helped make this contribution back to the community possible.
